Alan Grant is a British writer who originally worked for 2000AD as a sub-editor from Prog 95 to Prog 174[1]. He most recently lived in Scotland, where he also organised the annual Moniaive Comics Festival with his wife Sue Grant[2].

As sub-editor he put a lot of work into Gerry Finley-Day's scripts on The VCs, Rogue Trooper and Harry 20 on the High Rock as well as giving early feedback on Alan Moore's early Tharg's Future-Shocks scripts[1].

Grant had over one and a half thousand scripting credits for 2000AD-related titles[1],

Outside of 2000AD he also worked on Batman and Lobo for DC Comics (as well as the Judge Dredd crossovers with both titles), Eagle, Scream! and Toxic!.
