Bonjo from Beyond the Stars was short comedy strip that ran for 10 episodes between December 1977 and February 1978. It concerned the exploits of a giant alien with a voracious appetite who crash-lands somewhere in China.
Synopsis[]
Part 1[]
A ship carrying alien specimens crashes in China near the town of Pu-Pong. Bonjo escapes and eats the town.[1]
Part 2[]
Bonjo stomps on the local population because he likes the squishy sound it makes.[2]
Part 3[]
Chang-Shi, a martial arts master, takes the alien on, but Bonjo eats him.[3]
Part 4[]
Bonjo eats a mission full of carol-singers, but they continue to sing from his stomach and he can't get any peace. He swallows a shed full of explosives from a nearby mine and washes it down with petrol from an oil refinery. The concoction explodes inside him.[4]
Part 5[]
Bonjo goes to Tibet looking for a change of scenery. To protect his feet from the snow he straps two yetis to his feet.[5]
