Cam Kennedy is a Scottish artist. Cam was born in Glasgow. He is married to former primary school teacher Isobel, has four children, two grandchildren and lives in Orkney. His wife and two youngest children (Catriona, 29 and Cameron, 26 in 2012) appeared in the Kenny Who? stories[1].

He started drawing at the age of two-and-a-half and, while living in France in the 1970s, he realised he had artistic potential. He worked on 'Judge Dredd from 1980 to 2008. For two years in the nineties he lives in Oregon, during which he drew two Star Wars: Dark Empire series for Dark Horse Comics. He turned down George Lucas' offer for him to illustrate a third series[1].

In 2012, at the age of 68, following an invite to Dundee to watch a special screening of the film Dredd 3D he revealed that advanced glaucoma had affected his eyesight. His sight had started to deteriorate in 1983 and three operations limited the deterioration in his vision, though he can now only see in black and white and has binocular vision. Despite his failing eyesight, he still sketches[1][2].
