Judge Death was a Judge from an alternate dimension where all life was a crime.
He first appeared in Mega-City One when he killed Tiny the Tap and was sighted by the judges when he began massacring clubgoers at The Rabbit Hutch. After Dredd burnt his body with incendiary, his spirit escaped, only to be reached by Judge Anderson so that Dredd could interrogate him. He later visited Anderson to possess her body in order to restore his skeletal remains. Anderson managed to send a message to Dredd to trap Death in her body, encased in a cocoon of Boing[1].
When he did not return to Deadworld, the other Dark Judges travelled to Mega-City One to free his spirit[2].
