• In 1983, during the construction of an extension to the London Underground, the fossilised skeleton of Old One Eye was discovered by workmen.

• In 1999, Volgs herded British Resistance sympathisers on to tube trains at Whitechapel tube station to be transported to New Cross tube station before the New Cross liquidation camp was blown up by Bill Savage.
