Mike McMahon is a prolific and hugely influential British writer for 2000AD. He drew the first Dredd strip to appear in Prog 2. Carlos Ezquerra, co-creator of Judge Dredd, was upset by this and did not return to draw Dredd until The Apocalypse War.
