This was the first issue to refer to itself as a 'Prog' on the cover, as opposed to 'Programme' on all the preceding issues. It continues the opening stories of Flesh and Harlem Heroes, as well as the Judge Dredd story Robot Wars, and the Dan Dare story Hollow World. Invasion starts a three-part story where Savage takes on a nuclear research facility and M.A.C.H.1 has a single-episode story.
The cover features Tharg and a montage of all six strips, drawn by various artists. This cover reappears in the final frame of the Judge Dredd story The Comic Pusher in Prog 20. The back cover features a collection of robots designed and sent in by readers.

After previous use of the word Prog in Flesh, the short form of programme first appeared on the front of an issue on the Prog 13 cover. The covers of the first 12 issues used the full word Programme.
