Prog 17 was the first that Kelvin Gosnell edited, taking over from Pat Mills. The prog saw the continuation of the ongoing long stories for Dan Dare, Flesh and Harlem Heroes. The Judge Dredd story Robot Wars reached its conclusion, while M.A.C.H.1 & Invasion both had one-off stories.

Mythology[]
In a response to a reader's letter Tharg mentioned that there was a reason that ships had been disappearing in the Bermuda Triangle for centuries, but that he would be breaking the Galactic Secrets Act if he revealed the truth[3].
