Ro-Busters was a Starlord strip which later transferred to 2000AD and was centred on the exploits of members of the Ro-Busters disaster squad, introducing the characters Ro-Jaws, Hammerstein, Mek-Quake and Howard Quartz. It was created by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill.

Behind the Scenes[]
A member of IPC Publications management had suggested that Pat Mills create a superhero strip with clean-cut characters fighting disasters. Instead, Mills created a team of robots who faced the scrapheap unless they took on suicidal missions.
Though the character designs were created by O'Neill, IPC management did not like his style and so artwork was taken on by other creators[1].
