The Robot Marshall was the sheriff in Carver City. It was programmed to confiscate guns from anybody entering the trading post. Though it was programmed not to allow dinosaurs into the city either, it was not advanced enough to allow rangers to have their weapons back when Tyrannosaurs entered the city[1].
