Seattle Sluggers was a one-off story that appeared in the first 2000AD special publication - the 2000AD Summer Special Supercomic, printed in 1977. The story takes place at some point during the run of the original Harlem Heroes story.
Synopsis[]
The Harlem Heroes were playing a friendly against the Seattle Sluggers, a team that no-one knew much about. They never gave interviews and weren't even in the league yet. The Sluggers were too tough for the Heroes at first, taking an early lead. But then Giant followed a hunch and revealed them as robots. Once they knew what they were playing against, the Heroes outplayed them handsomely and beat them 6-2[1].
