Synopsis[]
Dan Dare, is sent to stop a starship speeding on a collision course with Earth. He boards it, cuts the engines and dumps a load of green slime on board out into space. The ship is then transported to a planet being ruled by an evil villain called Mytax whom Dare has had dealings with before. By his side is a star dweller called Solan. Dare has to defeat a huge alien beast in single combat. Dare realises the whole set up is an illusion that has been created by the mind of Solan, fuelled by the fear of those around him. By being unafraid, Dare dispels the illusion. Then Solan's father arrives to take Solan home and punish him for interfering with the lives of humans. Mytax is killed by another of the huge aliens, and the star dwellers transport Dare home[2].

- Chuck is a crew member on board the Orion who witnesses the Andromeda's disappearance after Dare & Carter board it[2].
Mytax[]
- Mytax was sentenced to death for selling primitive humanoids as slaves. He was cast out into space but rescued by Soltan. Now he and Soltan rule the Fire City[2].
Soltan[]
- Soltan is a young star dweller. He has created the Fire City for the indigenous people to live in, and rules them alongside Mytax. However, he is just a naughty child and is taken home for punishment by his father.
