Synopsis[]
After a long and ferocious war between Humans and Wartloids, a tentacled race of time-travellers from Titan, the few surviving Wartloids were imprisoned in a penal colony. While there, a woman named Jane Baxter attempted to reform them and cure them of their warmongering. She had been experiencing a certain amount of success until a warrior named Thurr escaped with two of his brothere. They hijacked a bus and headed for the spaceport. Jane put herself deliberately in the path of the bus, and Gnurr, one of Thurr's brothers, felt pity for her, managed to kill his brother and stop the bus in time[1].
