Twilight's Last Gleaming was a Judge Dredd comic story originally published in 2000 AD. It consisted of three parts, serialised between Progs 754 and 756.

Summary[]

It is Referendum Day in Mega-City One. The citizens are given a simple choice: continued rule of the Justice Department, or a return to democracy. After rounding up the last of the Judges who were part of the conspiracy to murder him, Dredd waits for the results to come in.

The vote takes place, and only 35% of the population actually vote. The Judges receive 68%, the Democrats 9% and 23% were invalid.

The Democrats do not accept the result, and Blondel Dupre leads a march of two million citizens on the Hall of Justice. Dredd manages to convince her that the result wasn't fixed, and the crowd disperses without incident.
